H-250/U & H-350/U HANDSETS
|
H-250/U HANDSET is a Microphone-Receiver Handset used for tactical field communications requirements. It is manufactured to U.S. Military Specifications and is normally utilized with Military Man-Pack Radio Equipment, such as AN/PRC-77 etc. The Microphone Element in this handset H-250 is noise canceling. The Handset is equipped with a Press-To-Talk switch and 6 feet (extended) retractile cord, terminating in a 5 pin audio connector (U-229U).
H-350/U HANDSET is now the standard handset used for tactical field telephone sets. It is utilized with both analogue and digital voice terminals such as the TA-954/TT Digital Non-Secure Voice Terminal. Unlike its twin brother, (the H-250/U), the H-350/U is not compatible with radio equipment sporting 6 pin audio connectors. The principle design of this handset is to provide 'hot mic' capabilities thus allowing for full-duplex operation over telephone circuits. This is accomplished by changing the method by which the microphone is wired to the PTT switch and by the addition of an extra ground lead to the microphone capsule and pin F of the audio connector. The H-350/U features a press-to-net radio interface switch for activating remote radio transceivers, a retractile cord and is terminated with a 6 pin audio connector.

H-207/VRC HANDSET
H-207/VRC HANDSET consists of a microphone, receiver, PTT switch and transformer mounted in a high-impact plastic case for transmitting and receiving voice-frequency signals. The microphone has two elements, each under a separate opening, for cancellation of outside noise. The H-207/VRC is utilized primarily for infantrymen outside a tank, an armored personnel carrier or a vehicle, for the purpose of communicating to those crew members inside. The cord assembly is terminated with five spade lugs that mount to a remote-control box, generally designated as the C-2296/VRC control box.
